how to test a new theme without resetting the default theme

Postby davecomeaux » Mon Jun 18, 2012 3:36 pm

Hi,

I need to develop a new theme for our instance of Archon. I see that I need to create a new themes folder. I see that, when I'm done, I go to the admin screens to select the new theme. But how do I see how the pages look with my new theme while I'm developing it? I need to preview the pages with my new theme without resetting the default theme for end-users. There must be a way, but I don't see anything in the User Guide or on this Forum. Sorry to trouble you if this info is easily available and I've just overlooked it.

Thanks,
Dave Comeaux

You can pass a ?settheme=default parameter to your URL and replace "default" with whatever the name of your theme is.
